Winter Bonfire Handmade Wood Candleholder with Artificial White and Burgundy Leaves

The inspiration for this rustic fall candleholder design is a bonfire burning on a crisp fall evening. This handmade wood candleholder is a winter fire pit in miniature with stacks of wood and artificial leaves in shades of wine mimicking the flames.
Basic construction includes a glass votive holder attached to a basswood base.
The wood base is hand-cut, sanded, stained, nailed/glued, and varnished (with low VOC varnish). The look of the wood for this candleholder was created using a layered painting technique with a white topcoat.
The candleholder decor includes faux tree leaves, shell pieces, river rocks, miniature berries, miniature pumpkins, cinnamon stick pieces, pine cones, and other fall scatter.
Felt pads protect the base.
LED candle included.
