Celtic High Cross Wood-Burned Plaque
Product Description:
The original knotwork design for this wood-burned plaque was influenced by the beautiful symbolic Celtic art from places like Ireland. The Celtic Cross is a powerful symbol in Irish culture, going back more than 1000 years to the time of the Irish monasteries.
A personally designed hand drawing with a Celtic theme was created with grid paper and traced onto an unfinished 11 x 14 wood plaque, and then painstakingly wood burned.
The drawing consists of a Celtic cross with intricate knotwork framed by Celtic knots and vines in the four corners.
Several coats of low VOC varnish were applied to the front and back of the plank to preserve and protect the piece.
A saw tooth hanger is attached to the back of the board for hanging.
Felt pads on the back protect the plaque and your wall.
