Celtic Dragonfly Wood-Burned Decorative Plate

The original knotwork design for this wood-burned plate was influenced by the beautiful symbolic Celtic art from places like Ireland. The dragonfly symbolizes fresh perspective, the ability to choose a new path, the essence of the spirit over the material world, adaptability, and transformation. Dragonflies are often seen as messengers from the other world.
A personally designed hand drawing with a Celtic theme was drawn on paper, then traced onto an unfinished 11.5” diameter plate, and then painstakingly wood burned.
The drawing consists of three stylized Celtic dragonflies in the center, framed by (4) arced Celtic border knots, each separated by a triple spiral symbol within a disk shape at the cardinal points.
Once the artwork was finished, two coats of low VOC varnish were applied to the front and back of the plate to preserve the art and protect the plate.
Comes with a complimentary 8” wooden plate stand.
